PROJECTS
THE CANCER GENOME ATLAS (TCGA)
UNC is one of twelve centers that are part of an unprecedented large-scale, collaborative effort by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) to systematically characterize the genomic changes that occur in cancer.

UNCseq
Primary Objectives of UNCseq are to provide a mechanism for association of known molecular alterations with clinical outcome in oncology via genetic profiling of patient specimens and to support treatment decisions by providing rapid genetic profiling of patient specimens and sharing reportable results with treating physicians.

HEALTH REGISTRY/CANCER SURVIVORSHIP
The goal of the UNC Health Registry is to better understand the causes of diseases, like cancer, which affect many North Carolinians. We aim to prevent diseases, find better ways to treat them, and also help people live their lives fully if they have illness or are in treatment.

LINEBERGER DATA WAREHOUSE
The Lineberger Data and BioSpecimens Repository Warehouse (LDBR) breaks down barriers between for data that exist in separate systems, and provides a web-reporting interface for integrated and operational data reporting. The LDBR project enables research studies to quickly see data results and other LBC services to communicate across organizational lines.
