The University Cancer Research Fund (UCRF) has helped in building the common large scale computing cluster that includes 90+ physical servers, 4600 CPUs, 19.5 TB of RAM, and 4.5+ PB of storage on a NetApp enterprise storage system.
Lineberger investigators receive access to this resource for their computing needs and can access it via the command line, or one of our web interfaces:
- jUNCtion: a workflow management application that runs standard bioinformatics workflows via a web interface.
- OnDemand: Web-based portal for LBC cluster resources, offering access to files, job submission, documentation, shell access, and interactive apps like RStudio, JupyterHub, and VSCode
We are always available for a consultation to discuss your project and possible paths forward!
Each request will be subject to a triaging procedure. Projects that financially support a member of the core will be given top priority followed by providing pre-award support for grant submissions. Additional bandwidth will be used to assist with projects on a case-by-case basis to give investigators as much assistance as possible, particularly new and/or junior researchers who may not have well established funding sources.
All decisions concerning the allocation of analysts effort will be made by core leadership.
